The Listening Fund

We’re delighted to have been awarded a Listening Fund grant to fund a youth-facing post focused on trust, participation and engagement, helping young people to find their individual voice and what matters to them, and to share their views and experiences – within our charity and beyond – both locally and nationally.

The Listening Fund is a collaboration between leading UK grant-making foundations, aiming to make the youth sector more accountable to young people, led by a panel of 10 young advisors, producing and sharing insightful resources.

We’re delighted with the opportunities this will help us expand for young people: our own Life Chance Trust ‘youth panel’: fun, team-based activities to shape direction through conversations and projects involving music, art, architecture, nature-based & physical activities. This gives us the potential for a youth-led micro-grants panel, and practical skills/enterprise projects.

We also hope to support our young people to take part in advocacy, democracy and campaigning – using their lived experience to help raise awareness of ACEs and the impacts on young lives.

We are currently looking for young people aged 16-25 to help inform our development and become part of our Youth Advisory Board – and hopefully have some great experiences along the way!
