The is a national award enabling us to develop one of our core strands of work: needs-led tailored mentoring support for young people affected by significant childhood trauma who are on the verge of, or excluded from, mainstream education.
KFC UK Foundation
The aim of the KFC Foundation is to support grass roots organisations that empower young people across the UK. We received a grant towards our mentoring and wellbeing service development for trauma-experienced young people, to help us to reach our initial goal to be transforming 25 young lives by 2025.
Magic Little Grants 2023
LocalGiving & People’s Postcode Lottery Trust provided grants in 2022 & 2023 to set-up our youth panel, and to run small-group wellbeing workshops for 16-25s experiencing social / emotional / relationship difficulties due to trauma.
NCS Trust
We’re over the moon to be selected as an NCS Trust local partner from 2023-25 – aligning perfectly with our ’25 by 25’ programme of life skills workshops (and so much more) to build social skills, confidence, motivation and engagement for young people at risk, through expertly facilitated small groups. By March 2025, more than 70 young people from South Devon will have had the chance to take part!
Norman Family Charitable Trust
This Trust’s primary objective is to help registered charities and other non-profit / voluntary organisations working in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. We were awarded a grant to support our work developing services for young people – mentoring development, small group healthy habits, life skills workshops and practical support in 2023-24.

DCW Polymers is a plastic recycling specialist in Exeter, Devon and they are passionate about doing their bit for the planet! We are delighted to one of the beneficiaries of their innovative Recycle & Raise® fundraising scheme: collecting plastic from the public, turning it into sturdy and attractive outdoor furniture, and then donating the profits to local charities!
Devon Communities Together
The community council for Devon is a champion for its people & environment – helping communities help themselves. They are engaged in a wide range of projects, services and funding opportunities to support dynamic communities shaping their own futures. They awarded us a grant to design and deliver themed life-skills workshops for young people.

Persimmon Homes South West donated £1,000 as part of their Community Champions initiative, which donates up to £750,000 a year to local causes and organisations across the UK. The money received by Life Chance Trust will be used to support more young people as the organisation grows and develops.
